Built ahead of the 2023 European Volleyball Championship, <a href="https://matchpredictor.cev.eu/">EuroVolley Match Predictor</a> is helping the CEV to drive greater fan loyalty. It’s set to enable daily digital engagement throughout the tournament while providing the federation with its own database of fans to serve personalised CRM content to, using fan data. This is an exciting new strategy to engage and monetise volleyball fans.
Behind EuroVolley Match Predictor
The idea behind the Match Predictor game is to turn EuroVolley 2023 into a fun daily social competition for fans. Designed to suit the knockout format, CEV’s new predictor game provides a light touch way for volleyball audiences to engage with the sport, regardless of their knowledge.
Historically, fans were limited to watching games and refreshing social media for scores and updates. EuroVolley Match Predictor will deepen the tournament experience and add a new layer of excitement.
Integrated seamlessly into the CEV’s digital ecosystem, EuroVolley Match Predictor challenges fans to predict which team will win every match and which player will score the most points in each men’s and women’s match.
It includes dynamic leaderboards and both public and private mini-leagues, meaning fans can compete against friends and other users across Europe. Crucially, the product will provide the CEV with a marketable audience and zero-party audience data, including each fan’s name, contact details and individual preferences to enable rich personalisation.
Major prizes are available for public league winners, including signed jerseys of the Championship winning team and Champions League SuperFinals 2024 tickets.
For a federation like CEV, international tournaments have huge fan engagement potential. EuroVolley Match Predictor is an exciting step forward for the world of volleyball this summer.
